Milan or Malpensa to Madonna di Campiglio by Private Car

A private transfer from Milan to Madonna di Campiglio covers about 220 km and takes around 3 h 30: the A4 motorway past Bergamo to Brescia, then the Val Sabbia past Lake Idro and up the Giudicarie and Val Rendena valleys through Tione and Pinzolo to Campiglio at 1,550 m. From Linate it takes about 3 h 15 and from Bergamo, the closest Milan airport, about 2 h 45. From Malpensa, on the far side of Milan, it is about 3 h 40. The price is for the whole car, not per person, and includes fuel, motorway tolls and parking.

The whole route is in Italy, with no border, no tunnel toll and no vignette. By public transport the trip means a train from Milan to Trento or Brescia and a bus into the mountains: four to five hours with your ski bags on every step. With a private car, many of our guests land at Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo and are in their hotel by the afternoon.

We drive to every hotel and chalet in Madonna di Campiglio, Campo Carlo Magno and Pinzolo, and on to Folgarida and Marilleva in the Val di Sole, all on the same Dolomiti di Brenta ski area. Check your price and book online →

Which Airport for Madonna di Campiglio: Bergamo, Linate, Malpensa or Verona?

Bergamo is the closest Milan airport, about 2 h 45 by car, and Verona is about 2 h 30. Linate is about 3 h 15 and Malpensa about 3 h 40, on the far side of Milan. Malpensa has the most long-haul and international flights, so many of our guests land there and drive straight round Milan to the Dolomites. Whichever airport you fly into, we meet you inside arrivals and drive you to the door of your hotel.

Madonna di Campiglio and the Brenta Dolomites

Madonna di Campiglio lies at 1,550 m between the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Adamello-Presanella glaciers. Its ski area links over Campo Carlo Magno to Folgarida and Marilleva in the Val di Sole and down the valley to Pinzolo, and every winter the Canalone Miramonti slope hosts the 3Tre night slalom of the Ski World Cup. The village is one of the most elegant winter resorts in Italy, popular with guests from Milan and from abroad.

Practical Tips: Weekends, Ski Bags and the Drive Back

On Saturdays and at the end of holiday weekends the A4 between Brescia and Milan can be slow, so we plan extra time. Tell us how many ski bags you travel with so we send the V-Class if needed. For an afternoon flight from Malpensa, we usually suggest leaving Campiglio about six hours before take-off, and about five hours for Linate or Bergamo.
