Private Car Service from Milan to
Tremezzo, Lake Como

Milan to Tremezzo by Private Car: About 1 h 30, Door to Door
A private car service from Milan to Tremezzo covers about 85 km and takes around 1 h 30 from central Milan, about 1 h 20 from Malpensa and 1 h 40 from Linate. Your driver collects you at your hotel, home or office, or inside arrivals at the airport, loads the luggage and takes you to the entrance of your hotel or villa on the western shore of Lake Como. The price is for the whole car, not per person, and includes fuel, motorway tolls and parking.
Tremezzo is part of the Tremezzina, the stretch of shore between Lenno, Tremezzo and Cadenabbia that looks straight across the water to Bellagio. From Milan the motorway takes you to Como in under an hour; the last part follows the Via Regina, the lakeside road through Cernobbio, Moltrasio and Argegno. It is narrow and slow in places, but it is one of the most beautiful drives on the lake, and your driver knows where the buses and the bottlenecks are.
Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Villa Carlotta and most hotels in the area have their entrance directly on the lakeside road, so we drop you at the door and help with every bag. On the way back we collect you at your hotel and drive you to any Milan address or airport. Check your price and book online →

From Malpensa it starts from €255, from Linate from €310 and from Bergamo from €400. Night-time transfers and public holidays are priced differently. How long is the drive from Milan to Tremezzo?
About 1 h 30 for the 85 km from central Milan, about 1 h 20 from Malpensa and about 1 h 40 from Linate. The motorway takes you to Como; the last 30 km follow the lakeside Via Regina. On summer weekends allow 20 to 30 minutes more.
Which airport is closest to Tremezzo?
Malpensa, about 1 h 20 by car, is usually the most convenient airport for Tremezzo and the western shore of Lake Como. Linate takes about 1 h 40 and Bergamo about 1 h 45. Lugano Airport in Switzerland is closer but has very few flights.
Can you drop us at Grand Hotel Tremezzo?
Yes. Grand Hotel Tremezzo and most hotels in Tremezzo, Lenno and Cadenabbia have their entrance on the lakeside road, so the driver stops at the door and brings your luggage in. For villas on the hillside, send us the exact address and we plan the last stretch in advance.
Is there a train to Tremezzo?
No. The nearest stations are Como and, across the lake, Varenna. From Como you continue by bus or boat along the western shore, which with connections and luggage takes about two and a half hours from Milan. A private car takes about 1 h 30 to the door.
Can we visit Villa Carlotta or Villa del Balbianello by car?
Yes. Villa Carlotta is a few minutes from the centre of Tremezzo. Villa del Balbianello is at Lenno, about ten minutes away; the villa is reached on foot along a path or by boat from Lenno, and we drop you at the starting point. Opening days and booking rules are set by the villas, so check them before you go.
How do we get from Tremezzo to Bellagio?
The quickest way is the car ferry from Cadenabbia, a few minutes from Tremezzo, which crosses to Bellagio in about 15 minutes. Driving around the lake through Como takes much longer. We can take you to the ferry or meet you on the other side; ferry tickets are not included in our price.
Do you drive from Tremezzo to Switzerland?
Yes. Lugano is about 50 minutes from Tremezzo and starts from €180, St. Moritz about 2 h 15 from €355 and Zurich Airport about 2 h 45 from €830. We also drive to Venice, Portofino and the Alpine ski resorts.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes. Baby seats, child seats and boosters are free of charge on medium and long journeys such as Milan to Tremezzo. Tell us the age of each child when you book so we can prepare the right seats.
How many passengers and suitcases fit in the car?
The Mercedes E-Class takes up to 2 passengers with 2 large suitcases and cabin bags. The Mercedes V-Class takes up to 6 passengers with their luggage, at the same price for 1 to 6 people. With several large suitcases we recommend the V-Class rather than the S-Class, whose boot is smaller.
Is MilanobyCar a local company?

We are not a global platform or a booking app: you deal with the same people from the first email to the end of your trip. Bus, Ferry or Private Car from Milan to Tremezzo?
There is no train station in Tremezzo. The usual public route is a train from Milan to Como, about an hour, then the C10 bus or a boat along the western shore, which takes another hour or more. With connections and luggage it easily takes two and a half hours. A private car takes about 1 h 30 from Milan, or 1 h 20 from Malpensa, to the door of your hotel, with no changes, which matters with suitcases, children or a late arrival.
Arriving in Tremezzo: the Via Regina and Hotel Entrances
Tremezzo lies along the Via Regina, the main road of the western shore, and most hotels, including Grand Hotel Tremezzo, have their entrance directly on it. That makes the arrival simple: the car stops at the door and the driver brings your luggage in. Villas and apartments on the hillside above are reached by narrower lanes; tell us the exact address and we plan the last few hundred metres in advance.
Practical Tips: Summer Traffic, Ferries and the Drive Back
From April to October the Via Regina is busy at weekends and in the late afternoon, so allow a little extra time. To visit Bellagio or Varenna, the car ferry from Cadenabbia takes about 15 minutes and is often quicker than driving around the lake. For an afternoon flight from Malpensa we usually suggest leaving Tremezzo about three and a half hours before take-off, and about four hours for Linate.
