Before You Book
What is included, how pickup works and our terms
The price
- The price is per car, not per person, and is fixed once your booking is confirmed.
- Included: VAT, fuel, motorway tolls, parking and, for Switzerland, the motorway vignette.
- Night-time and holiday rates, where they apply, are already in the price shown when you book.
- Not included: the Mont Blanc, Fréjus and Great St Bernard tunnel fees, lake ferries, the Lötschberg car train and the Venice water taxi.
Airport arrivals
- Your chauffeur waits inside the public arrivals hall, right after baggage claim and customs, holding a sign with your name.
- We track your flight, so if it lands early or late the chauffeur adjusts.
- Free waiting from the actual landing time: 60 minutes for international flights, 45 minutes for domestic flights. Please give us your flight number when you book; without it, the standard 15 minutes apply.
- Extra waiting depends on the car you booked: from €65 per hour for the E-Class, €80 for the V-Class and €100 for the S-Class, charged in 15-minute steps and paid to the chauffeur by card or in cash.
Hotel, home and station pickups
- Your chauffeur arrives a few minutes early and waits at the entrance or in the lobby.
- 15 minutes of waiting are included from the agreed pickup time. Extra time is charged at the hourly rate of the car you booked, as above.
- Running late? Message your chauffeur or call us and we will adjust if possible.
- Return transfers are booked and confirmed together with the outward trip, with a chauffeur assigned to each.
- Zermatt: pickup and drop-off in Täsch. Venice: pickup and drop-off at Piazzale Roma.
Vehicles and luggage
- Mercedes E-Class: up to 2 passengers, 2 large suitcases plus cabin bags.
- Mercedes V-Class: up to 6 passengers with their luggage, ski bags included.
- Mercedes S-Class: up to 2 passengers with light luggage, on request.
- Luggage always travels in the boot, never on the seats. With several suitcases, choose the V-Class.
- Child seats and boosters are free on request for medium and long journeys.
- All cars are recent Mercedes, no more than two to three years old.
Our chauffeurs
- Professional, English-speaking chauffeurs in a suit.
- Help with your luggage and bottled water on board.
- When a trusted local partner chauffeur drives for us, MilanobyCar remains responsible for your booking.
Chauffeur contact and meeting point
- After booking you receive a written confirmation with the pickup time and address.
- We send you the chauffeur's name and mobile number, and the exact meeting point, usually the day before and at the latest one hour before pickup.
- If you cannot find your chauffeur, call them directly or our assistance line on +39 335 821 0912.
Payment and cancellation
- Full payment in advance, online through the booking form or a secure payment link, unless agreed otherwise.
- Cancellation: 10% of the price more than 48 hours before pickup, 25% between 48 and 24 hours, 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show.
- Full details are in our booking terms and conditions.
