Yes. Reasonable en-route stops at destinations directly on or near the A4 motorway corridor — including Bergamo, Brescia, Sirmione, Verona, Soave, and Padua — are included in the quoted transfer price. Your driver parks and waits for as long as you need. For very extended stops of over 3 hours, a small additional charge may apply; this will always be agreed in writing before your booking is confirmed.
Can I depart from Milan Malpensa or Linate Airport?
Yes. We collect from Malpensa Airport (MXP) — all terminals, Linate Airport (LIN), and Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY). We also pick up from any hotel, residence, or office in the Milan metropolitan area. Malpensa departures add approximately 45 minutes to the total journey time. Please mention your exact starting point when requesting a quote, as the price may vary slightly.
Where does the driver drop us off in Venice?
Private vehicles are permitted to enter Venice as far as Piazzale Roma (the main terminus, with direct water bus connections to all areas of the city) or the Tronchetto parking island. Your chauffeur will drop you at the most convenient point and assist with all luggage. From Piazzale Roma, ACTV water bus Line 1 runs the full length of the Grand Canal to San Marco, taking approximately 45 minutes. Line 2 is the express service to San Marco in around 20 minutes.
Is the water taxi from Piazzale Roma to my hotel included?
The Venice water taxi is operated by independent licensed taxi companies and is not included in the land transfer price. A typical water taxi from Piazzale Roma to a San Marco hotel costs EUR 80–120 depending on the destination and time of day. We can pre-arrange a licensed water taxi to be waiting at Piazzale Roma when you arrive — simply mention this at booking and we will coordinate the handover and provide a fixed quote.
What is the best time of year to make this journey?
Spring (April and May) and early autumn (September and October) offer the most pleasant conditions: mild temperatures, clear skies, and fewer crowds in both Verona and Venice. Summer (July–August) is the busiest period and Venice in particular can be extremely hot and crowded; we recommend early morning departures from Milan. Venice Carnival (January–February) is spectacular but hotels fill months in advance. Winter offers the most intimate experience of Venice, with frequent fog and the occasional acqua alta adding a memorable, unique atmosphere.
