Malpensa and Milan city are both about 2 h 30 from La Thuile by car, Linate about 2 h 45 and Bergamo about 3 hours. Turin Airport is about 2 hours and Geneva about 2 hours through the Mont Blanc tunnel, but Malpensa has the widest choice of long-haul and international flights. For most guests flying in from abroad, Malpensa with a private car straight to the hotel is the simplest option, with motorway almost all the way and no border. ### La Thuile and the Espace San Bernardo La Thuile lies at 1,441 m in a side valley below the Little St Bernard Pass, about 10 km above Pré-Saint-Didier. Its ski area, the Espace San Bernardo, is linked on skis with La Rosière in France, so you can ski across the border while the road over the pass is closed for the winter: there is no winter road from La Thuile into France, and we always reach La Thuile from the Aosta Valley side.
